W hen it comes to chairs, choosing the right product among various models is not an easy task. The model of the chair to be selected is as important as its durability. The type of your chair should match the furniture and design of your home.

Chair Height

The ideal chair should have a seat width of 50 cm. When sitting, if the soles of your feet touch the ground completely, the distance between your legs and the seat of the chair should be wide enough for your fingers to pass comfortably through this area.

Seat Depth

When you fully lean your back and waist against the back of the chair, the distance between the front edge of the chair and the back of your knees should be a fist's width. Keep in mind that compressing the back of your legs with the edge of the chair can affect the nerves passing through this area, leading to numbness in your legs.

Chair Backrest and Lumbar Support

If the backrest of your chair is sufficiently wide, appropriate lumbar cushions should be used to support the curve of your lower back if needed. The natural curve of the spine, which is an "S" shape, must be maintained in the sitting position, and the chair backrest should be designed to support this posture.

Chair Armrests

The armrests of your chair should be at a height that lightly supports your shoulders. Ensure that the armrest is parallel to the body and thus the spine, and that the forearm forms a 90-degree angle at the elbow.
